Summary: Incredible show!

Boomtown Reno is bringing a series of shows to the area this summer, starting with the now-completed Kathleen Madigan show last night (29-May) in the Boomtown Ballroom. The roughly hour and a half show featured Jason Dudey as the opening act.

The comics themselves were hilarious; topical, at times profane (it was a 21-and over show), and as Boomtown billed the show, “Laugh Out Loud”. Completely accurate, as the crowd warmed quickly to the content. From topics as far ranging as parents who sleep naked (Doody) to the effects of smoking on casino workers (Madigan), neither comedian disappointed.

This is the start of a new series of events for the Boomtown and it is worth noting that the show staff was excellent as well. There were no technical issues, all the club personnel were extremely helpful and friendly, and the overall organization of the event was smooth and effective. Commendations are in order for the Boomtown event planners for a spectacular kickoff to their show schedule.
